1) Do not use anything but an allen wrench to tighten the clamping screws. Do not tighten any more than hand tight or
snug. Once properly attached you will not have any problems. In fact, you're going to have to try to have problems.
 
2) Space the gas block off the gas journal with a credit card. This will give you the proper offset required for the gas port
hole to be aligned with the standard gas  port location. All of my blocks now have a witness hole for greater ease of
locating the gas port so use that hole if you can.
 
3) To adjust the block, loosen the side locking screw and start with the gas port in the closed position (adjustment screw
turned in clockwise) and then turn the adjustment screw gradually open (counter-clockwise) until your rifle reliable cycles.
Add an extra 1/4-1/2 turn to the block once your standard of reliability has been achieved and lock the adjustment screw
into place with the side locking screw.
