The design of this rail is thoughtfully executed with strength, versatility and comfort in mind. The back end of the rail is given a thicker profile for beastly strength, a good handswell for an optimal grip and built-in ambidextrous mounting points for your QD (quick detach) sling swivel. Keymod slots on the sides and bottom allow for for a wide variety of mounting options for grips, lasers, lights or other accessories while minimizing weight and eliminating the hand shredding often experienced with "cheese grater" quadrails that utilize Picatinny rail on all surfaces. The trapezoid cutouts on the 45 degree faces of the rail give an aesthetically pleasing look while aiding in barrel cooling.
Each of our rails are cut from high-quality, consistently sourced and strong aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminum extrusion and given a Mil-Spec Type III hard coat anodized finish that will match your upper just perfectly. Due to our stringent quality requirements, our rails do not leave our facility without a full inspection of smoothness, straightness, critical dimensions and other such factors that may have a detrimental effect on the operation and enjoyment of your firearm.
This rail is a true free-floating rail that mounts onto an AR-15/M-16 upper receiver using a proprietary barrel nut. We have found this option to be the best in terms of fitment and reliability since it is compatible with all uppers and is much stronger than adapting to the standard barrel nut.
This handguard is 9.6" long and weighs 12 OZ assembled without the rail sections
Included with the purchase of this rail is a barrel mounting nut, six (6) mounting screws, a shim (in case it is needed for proper timing and alignment of the barrel nut) and an instruction sheet. If you want any Keymod rail sections, you can add them to your purchase with the option field to the right of the image!
